MISSIONS IN MIND

WHO WE ARE

We are preparing mission candidates to seamlessly transition from SOAR to serving with a sending agency, where they will fly and maintain small aircraft for the advancement of the Gospel.

MISSION AVIATION READINESS

OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION

Our mission at SOAR is to equip candidates with the knowledge, skills, and attributes necessary for aviation and partnership development, enabling them to serve in mission aviation.

OUR STORY

In the 2011 Kerrick and Connie Tweedy set out to accomplish a goal that God had placed in front of them. This goal was to send more missionaries to the field more efficiently by providing lower cost mission-focused flight training and a hands-on maintenance apprenticeship.

Following God’s direction then, SOAR was created as a mission aviation readiness program which also provides aviation services at the Bolivar Municipal Airport. Our goal is to help our mission candidates steward their time, talent, and resources to be able to use their skills to serve in the way that God has called them.

MISSIONARIES LAUNCHED

SOAR is able to train mission pilots and mechanics to serve all over the world. This means reaching those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to hear the Gospel in some of the most remote locations.

FROM SOAR TO THE MISSION FIELD

For some mission aviation candidates, the technical training for flight and maintenance skills can be the simplest part of their overall required preparation. Gaining practical experience, developing a partnership team, and avoiding debt are equally vital components. Many factors can emerge along the journey to full-time mission aviation, often delaying or derailing a candidate’s desire to reach the mission field.

At SOAR, we are committed to addressing these factors through a comprehensive approach. This allows our candidates to transition directly to their future mission aviation sending agency. Our seamless pathway to missions, supported by practical maintenance and flight experience, and a financial model that avoids debt, takes candidates from SOAR to the Mission Field.
